The international training “Let’s give a helping hand!” took place from 20th to 29th of July 2012 in the picturesque mountain village of Bojenica, Municipality of Botevgrad. The course involved 40 youth workers and experts from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Netherlands. The participants were speech and language therapists, project managers and volunteers who work with youngsters with communication disorders. This international and variegated group spent 9 unforgettable sunny days filled not only with learning and discovering of new professional opportunities and horizons but also making new personal contacts, partnership building, networking, … and of course many summer funs.

Let’s give a helping hand!

Dear Friends, we have the pleasure to inform you that YMDRAB in partnership with another 6 organizations from 5 European countries will implement a project named "Let's give a helping hand!" funded by “Youth in Action” Programme . As a part of our common commitment towards a more inclusive growth we will organize an international training course for increasing the capacity of youth workers in their efforts to support the social inclusion and employability of the young people with communication problems in the rural areas of Eastern Europe. The training will be held from 20th to 29th of July, 2012 in the village of Bojenica, Bulgaria. It will involve 40 youth workers and experts from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Holland. The participants will be project managers, youth leaders and volunteers engaged in activities in behalf of the young people with speech and language disorders.

Take my hand!

 

 

 

 

A national training course for prevention and non-violent transformation of interethnic conflicts between young Roma and Bulgarian people from rural areas in Bulgaria

YMDRAB realized successfully the training course titled “Take my hand!” which held from 6th to 13th of April, 2012 in Velingrad, Bulgaria. The project was implemented with financial support from the Council of Europe by the European Youth Foundation. We had 20 young rural participants - equal number Bulgarian and Roma people. The main aim of our project was to encourage rural youth from these two so different ethnic groups to find ways to overcome and transform interethnic conflicts between them in a peaceful way and to increase their mutual tolerance.
