Now we are fully prepared and it’s time to sow treated seeds to grow from them a young forest trees. Weather was also with us and "armed" with all sorts of tools - hoes, shovels, rakes, sod, we twice visited the forest nursery "Sinia Vir".

There we made a lot to sow our seeds properly:

I. Preparation of forest beds - first formed our beds, under the guidance of trainer and adopted mode of production in the "Sinia Vir", as we keep the following requirements:

  • we made five-rows beds in the east-west direction;
  • made high beds, because the nursery is mountainous and soils are heavy;
  • shaped paths between beds of convenient width for the machines;
  • we tilled the soil at a depth of 10-15 cm;

II. Sowing the seeds - after the beds were already prepared, we sown our seeds in our longitudinal furrows according to the biology of different tree species. We selected the density of the crop according to a type and quality of seeds. Then cover the sown seeds with sand to facilitate the grow and reduce future risks to young saplings, and finally we put manure and irrigate them.

Fortunately we were able to comply with the terms of the biology of crop species, physiological state of seeds and environmental conditions in the region. Despite the hard work, we are all very pleased with the efforts, because we are sure that our seeds will grow saplings, which will be recovered many of the Bulgarian destroyed forests.
